Our ancestors, the Chaturvedi clan hailed from Mathura, India. In the early 1900's my Great-Grandfather & my Great-Gandmother,
 settled in Mallehpur, Bihar, near Patna, which was the ancient capitol of India. He and all his sons spoke English fluently.
