The Indian Government should accept Lockheed Martin's proposed plans to manufacture F-16IN Bock 70 (Super Viper) in India; for world-wide distribution under
the 'Make In India' initiative. This will be a big opportunity for the Indian Aerospace companies, to gain modern technical know-how & experience, so that they can develop internally & export to 3rd world countries. India should request the United States of America to exempt it from CAATSA; being a trustworthy non-aligned power & and the biggest defense market in the world ! Else it will be difficult for Boeing & Lockheed Martin to sell advance fighter aircrafts to India ! India will not share US military secrets with Russia and vici-versa !! The country has an excellent record in abiding with international treaties such as Intellectual Property Law & Policy; etc,etc

1 - Single-Engine Fighter:
(SEF)
The Government of India, would very much like to buy a US jet Fighter, for its 'MMRCA' requirement. But according to certain 'school of thought', India might show reluctance, mainly due to possible foreseeable US pressure & economic sanctions against India, in case of a war in the sub-continent! The entire State of Kashmir; is soveriegn territory of INDIA, illegally occupied by Pakistan & China. Some sort of an assurance (a guarantee) from the USA, that IT would not interefere, but rather support, would be more than sufficient for India, buying everything all American! Perhaps a pro US support on 'Kashmir issue' and a permanent United Nation Security Council seat for India ! USA should offer India a more comprehensive deal, along with the jet-fighter tender; other Land Warfare Defense Systems that India currently desires. The United States should offer the more powerful GE-F414-EPE (120 kN) engine, for India's LCA Mk-2 jet-fighter, instead of the GE F414-INS6 (98 kN). The Indian LCA Mk11, should be solely developed as a Mach 2+ interceptor (air-defense / dogfighting), rather than a fighter-bomber (ground-attack / multi-
role), as it is supposed to replace the ageing Mig-21, in a dogfight over the Himalayas !!! The Government of India should accept Lockheed Martin's proposed plans to shift production facilities of the F-16IN; to India under the 'Make In India' initiative !!

This modified F-16IN has longer range; more powerful engine & AESA radar than the F-16C. It can fly from Bangalore (south) to Leh (Ladkak); fully loaded on a combat mission & return !! The F-16IN is an ultra-modern 'flying computer'; with sophisticated avionics; weapon systems; AESA radar & the most powerful engine with a thrust of 144 KN. It has long range (1100m) &
is proven in combat; however it is a 4th generation aircraft designed in the 80's. Originally, the choice for replacement, was for a Single-Engined Aircraft that would replace IAF's (more
than 400) Mig-21 fighters & also complement, India's double-engined Russian SU-30MKI multi-role fighter. The F16IN is the best choice, for the IAF considering cost, technology-
transfer & other political factors ! Lockheed Martin is willing to shift the entire production facilities, to India for world-wide distribution, with full technology transfer to manufacture the Super Viper! IAF should choose a light single-engine jet
