Some of the modern, basic equipment needed by the Indian Armed Forces & the Officers ! India is trying since the
1980's, to acquire a license to manufacture the Browning M2H2; for the Army, Navy, Air-Force & the Coast Guard.
Up in the Himalayas, amidst rocks & high-speed winds; anything less than .50Cal (12.7x99mm); is useless & futile.

(1) - India wants to mass produce (#20,000); the ...50Cal(12.7x99mm) M2H2 Heavy-Machine-Gun one for every (120)
company of soldiers, in the Indian Armed Forces ( Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and the Para-military force )

(2) - The Indian Army also wants to procure & license manufacture the 30Cal(7.62x51mm) MK48-Mod1 Light Machine
Gun; in large numbers (#80,000); one for every (32) platoon of soldiers; to replace the old .30Cal(7.62x51mm) Bren Gun.

(3) - The Indian Army is also interested in acquiring a modular ..30Cal(7.62x51mm) Battle-Rifle, (accurate upto 800 m)
for frontline troops & .44Cal(10.9mm) OR .45Cal(11.4mm) Revolver; or Semi-Automatic Pistol, as a sidearm for the police.
Indian frontline troops should not have anything less than .30Caliber(7.62x51mm); which has more power & long-range !

Modern Battle-Rifles are of .30Caliber(7.62mm) or greater; as the cartridge have greater velocity & heavy power,
to penetrate a KEVLAR BULLETPROOF VEST, worn by practically everyone these days. India should modify its old BELGIAN-
FN FAL, .30Caliber(7.62mm) which is semi-automatic into a Full-Automatic-Battle-Rifle, with a light, short BUTTSTOCK,
RECIEVER and BARREL. The FN FAL, is a very good powerful rifle. IF NOT, India should try and acquire a license to
manufacture this modern .30Caliber(7.62mm) Battle-Rifle FN SCAR-H, in India from the US or Belgium. [Another good
alternative, would be the new Israeli .30Caliber(7.62x51mm) GALIL ACE-52/53 full-automatic-battle-rifle, that is light, compact &
modular or the German Heckler & Koch HK417 .30Caliber (7.62x51mm) automatic-assault-rifle, that is compact & modular]

India does needs a powerful, .30Caliber (7.62x51mm) NATO, Full-Automatic-Battle-Rifle (accurate upto 800 m) for
frontline troops & a .44Cal(10.9mm)/.45Cal(11.5mm) Revolver/Semi-Automatic as a sidearm for the Police Force ! The
present .22Caliber (5.56x45mm), Indian INSAS Rifle; should be handed to the local state Police and Para-military
forces, for local domestic use ! For the Himalayas; India's DRDO should invest in the development of an existing
20mm or 30mm Cannon; that will be lightweight, portable & can be used as a high speed Machine-Gun-Cannon, shooting
accurately upto 2000 m, at 2400 rpm or more! A 20/30mm cannon will be perfect, for high-altitude mountain warfare! The
current Indian Vidhwansak, which is an Anti-material rifle, should be further developed & mass produced for the Indian
Armed Forces. It is a heavy, high-caliber rifle, perfect for sharp-shooting in the Himalayan mountains & the rough high-seas !

THE NEW (6.5x55mm and 6.8x43mm caliber) POWERFULL CARTRIDGES

It is a well known fact, that the 5.56x45mm caliber has more range & accuracy than the 7.62x51mm; but does not have the stopping
power. On the other hand, the 7.62x51mm round has the punch (stopping power); but lacks the range and accuracy in the round. As a
result, the new 6.5mm and 6.8mm caliber ammunitions were developed that has the range and accuracu of the 5.56x45mm round and
the knock-out punch of the 7.62x51mm Nato round. These new ammunitions have been incorporated into a few modern Assault Rifles.
