Boeing's Strike-Fighter F-18E/F 'Super Hornet (1997)
US_'BOEING' is also campaigning aggressively to clinch the Indian MMRCA deal, with the 'Super Hornet' F18E/F (GE414-400 Turbofan enhanced performance engine (EPE) & RAYTHEON APG-79 AESA Radar). This modified F18E/F with 30% more thrust & advanced AESA is a leading contender for Indian Air Force MMRCA project; along with Russia's MIG35. The Indian order for 200 Medium Multi Role Combat Aircraft is supposed to be split between F18EF (125) and MIG35 (75) or vici-versa. Boeing will be transfering full technology for F18EF, so that the 'Super Hornet' can be locally manufactured in INDIA !!!
