Future Travel Plans
(A) 'History & Geography' have been my most favorite subject ever since I was a kid attending Don Bosco Junior/High
School (est 1926 ), a Roman Catholic institution in Calcutta, and La-Martiniere High (est 1856), a Protestant
institution, also in Calcutta, India. The history of ancient Greece has always fascinated & intrigued me. It is
full of tragedy, adventure, chivalry, romance & comedy. Greek mythology has immensely interested me, ever since
I studied a little bit of Greek civiliation and culture in Junior high school. The Biblical history of the Jews
in the 'Promised land' & the story of Jesus Christ has had a profound, magical & mystifying effect on my senses.
The history of the Roman Empire has been equally fascinating along with the Greek history What a great, noble &
magnificient period, that really must have been indeed? I have always desired to see these ancient sites, where
some of my favorite ancient heroes, once stood & created history, such as Alexander. Greece is my most favorite
tourist destination !!!!!!
(1) Travel to the Meditteranean sea and see Israel;
Greece; and Italy;
Russia is still considered the largest country in the world. It is also a very beautiful country. I have always
wanted to see the 'great' Soviet Union. Russia has been a good friend of India. They have stood by India during
periods of crisis. They are reliable friends and trusted allies.
India was a British colony for almost 3 centuries. I have always been fascinated by the 'British way of life'. I
have studied Sir William Shakeaspear in school and have been a good critic of ENGLISH LITERATURE. Great Britain
is a land of writers & poets. It is also a land of Castles, Palaces, Forts, Monuments, & Noblemen. England is a
beautiful, mystifying, enchanting country. I love good old England. especially the country-side; the rolling
hills, green meadows & pastures. England reminds me of the beauty of 'nature', well described by poets such as,
Wordsworth; Keats; Shelley etc. I am really fascinated by the events that have occured in the history of the U.K.
I admire British people, who speak in the Received Pronunciation accent, of the English language, which is really
distinct, clear & original. Prince Charles, was my favorite icon, during school years in India. I have admired the
British
royal-family, since early childhood. It's a great joy, to hear good English, indeed. Majority of Americans
( > 64 % ), are descendants of the early Europeans settlers, who came from the United Kingdom of Great Britain,
Wales, Scotland & Ireland. In fact, the United States of America is a 'New England', in itself !
(2) Drive through Southern England from Southhampton, all the way up to Scotland, via Wales, Liverpool & New Castle.
See the beautiful Highlands, the Irish Coast and the North Sea. Visit all the famous and popular sights, in the
midlands and around Greater London. Take a train-ride from England to France, under the 'CHUNNELL', (the English
Channel) to visit Paris & see Germany; Russia and Japan in the Far East.

(B) Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the Great Mountain Ranges of the world. I would like to see the North
American Rocky Mountains & its extension into South America, the 'Andes Mountains'. [The 'Great Rockies' start
from Alaska and run down Western Canada through the United States into Central America and continue down deep into
South America where they are called the 'Andes Mountains'] The 'Andes Mountain' range are the worlds longest. They
run for almost 5,500 miles. I would also like to see and traverse the Great mighty 'Himalayan Mountains' of South
Asia. The Greater Himalayas and the mountaineous terrain run 2,800 miles from North-West 'Hindu Kush' India, to
North-East India dividing India & China. It touches Russia; Afghanistan; India; China; Pakistan; Tibet and Burma.
The Himalyan_Mountain_Trek of the entire Himalayas is breathtaking
(3) Drive from Alaska along the Rockies through Western Canada, into the U.S. See America well, especially 'New England',
the Mid-west and the Pacific-West.

(4)
Drive from Assaam in NE India, through Bhutan, Sikkhim, Nepal, Tibet and into Kashmir, Northern India .
