Myself at 53 in Miami, Florida; trying to clear myself of all accusations & move on with my life ! I have wasted all these valuable years for no fault of mine!
I met Dr Alan Birtch, briefly in the summer of 1981, at the Surgery clinic on the 3rd floor, in Memorial Medical Center, in Springfield, Illinois. I had scheduled an appointment, at the clinic & was seeking advice about a minor personal surgical operation. The secretary scheduled me for an appointment-meeting with Dr Bitch & I saw him the following week.
I told Dr Alan Birtch, that I wanted to have a minor surgery on my right-chest; as I had some 'sub-cutaneous fat' around my right mammary glands (nipples). It was not a large deposit of fat; but just an inch of fat around my right nipple. My left nipples were perfect but the right nipple, had a slight bulge around them. When it was contracted (tightened) due to changes in body temperature, it was not noticeable at all, But at times, when the muscles were expanded (relaxed), it would expand a little. It was not noticeable, but I felt very funny and awkward. Doctors in India had told me that it was due to some hormone defiency (eostrogen/ testosterone ); back in the 1970's.
I asked Dr Birtch, if I could have that extra 'fatty-tissue' surgically removed at the hospital as I had medical insurance. He told me that he could'nt do that as it was a 'cosmetic-surgery-procedure'; and it would not be covered under medical insurance. He said that he could recommend me to someone else in the hospital, who could perform it; but that would not be fully-covered. I thanked him and told him that I was a foreign-student attending Springfield College and had met Grant Birtch at the college dormitory, where I was a resident. Dr Birtch exclaimed "So you know Grant and Jane ? I said, I was acquainted with them & they were nice Americans. Dr Birtch, smiled & told me to contact him, if I needed to have the surgery, so he could recommend me to somebody.
That was the only personal-meeting that I have had with Dr Alan Birtch, (face-to-face) in Springfield-Illinois. I did see him in 1990, by the 'State Capitol' driving by in an early 1980 dark-brown Buick/Cadillac (4-dr), on Monroe street, while I was walking. He drove by me, speaking briefly and advising me about events that had occurred at Memorial Hospital. He spoke (yelled) for about 45 seconds. I thought that was him. I did see him again, that same year during the fall, standing at the corner of 2nd Street & Cook Street parking lot, trying to advise me further & making a good proposition. I just glanced at him, while listening carefully & kept on walking with my head-down. I was amazed, bewildered & scared !
