Job-hunting in South Florida !!
(( Java && C# ) || ( Java && VB ) || ( Java && C++ ))@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Looking for an entry-level job, in the Computer field, as a C++ Software Developer. Software developer study the software
application domain and prepares the software 'requirements and specification' document to design and implement the software
code. A software developer performs numerous tests in the software development process to reduce the number of faults in the
driver module, that he is testing. The languages most often used are C++ ; C## ; Java and VB.Net.
I am familiar with C and C++. I have been trying lately, to get into a position as an entry-level C++ 'Software Developer
For Test' by applying to local companies in the meanwhile, until I become completely proficient & skillful in Standard C++
and get me a full-time permanent job as a Lead Software Developement Engineer. I want to work in Software Testing, initially,
before getting into Formal Methods used in the 'Software Development Process'
Not so long ago, if you worked with Computers, you were either a 'Data-input operator', 'Computer operator', 'Programmer',
'Systems Analyst' or 'Software Engineer'. Now the field is becoming increasingly specialized. Internet professionals include
Software developers, Webmasters, Web developers, Web designers, Network administrator, Graphic artists, Content providers,
Multimedia producers, Security specialists, Database administrators, Managers and even Surfers.
The demand for E-commerce skills is soaring. E-commerce is growing at the rate of almost 300 % every year. Most companies
in the United States, have realized that the INTERNET can not only lower cost across their supply chains, but help them enter
new market, create additional revenue streams and keep customer relations on track. Retailers and financial services have
been selling their products on the WORLD WIDE Web for several years now, but the big growth is in E-commerce transactions
(busines-to-business). Last year B-to-B commerce totalled $ 43 Billion , but the sector is expected to top $ 1.3 Trillion
by 2003. In the next 24 hours, approximately 100,000 new Web pages will be posted in publicly accessible areas of the WWW
(INTERNET). In fact demand for Web professionals is currently far outstripping the supply.
While I am job-hunting in Miami/Fort Lauderdale/Palm Beach area, I always dress for success. I keep this in mind that your
first impressions are critical. Remember, you are marketing a product - yourself - to a potential employer, and the first
thing the employer sees when greeting you is your attire; thus you must make very effort to have the proper dress for the
type of job you are seeking. Will dressing properly get you the job ? Offcourse not, but I think that it will definitely
give you a competitive edge and a positive first impression. How should you dress then ? Dressing conservatively, is always
the safest route and you should look as though you fit in with the organization. If you overdress (which is rare but can
happen) or underdress, (the more likely scenario) the employer may feel that you don't care enough about the job.
