Russia is trying to catch up with the West & bridge the gap in 'Electronic engineering', especially (Stealth technology & Radar avionics). Being a developing country, with 'technological sanctions' in effect; Russian products have done quite well, despite lagging behind in the race. The Sukhoi/HAL (FGFA); Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft is a fifth-generation fighter being developed by Russia & India. It is being jointly developed, by Russia's Sukhoi & India's Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd; under Indo-Russian Scientific & Technical Cooperation Treaty.
